The situation

Robbie Avenaim is an experimental drummer, sound and installation artist. His site was a broken WordPress install.

What I did

I pulled his content out through WordPress's own data feed and rebuilt it as a static site on Cloudflare, on his own accounts, with an editor in the browser. He can drag his projects, discography and testimonials into whatever order he likes, and his grants sort themselves by type and year. There's an optional upcoming-events section he can switch on when there's something to announce.

One honest lesson from this job: I first set the editor to save without publishing, to batch changes up. Robbie lost an evening adding the same event four times, wondering why nothing appeared. Now every save goes live in about a minute.

How it turned out

Live and edited by Robbie himself: 9 projects, 18 releases and 32 grants, all his to change.
